DESCRIPTION
On Sunday 2 April, we ride a Randonneurs Leuven classic: Leuven – Signal de Botrange (alt. 694) – Leuven.
A beautiful ride to Belgium’s highest point. The route has been partially redesigned: we now climb the Signal from the rear (as friends of the Leuven Randonneurs always use the backdoor).
Don’t be surprised by this ride: a solid number of altimeters and treacherous weather conditions in the High Fens (we already knew editions in April with snow).
Make sure you have lights and appropriate clothing.

DISCLAIMER
At Leuven Randonneurs we consciously choose to go off the beaten track. This means that we make as much use as possible of the B roads. In the southern part of the country, these are roads that can be of poor quality (route dégradée). Think of potholes in the road, small stretches of unpaved road, cobblestones, etc. We are convinced that these roads are an added value to the route and the experience. We assume that every randonneur can assess the danger and adapt his or her riding style. We explore every ride with a bike with a minimum tire width of 23mm.
