Leuven - Orval - Leuven
There is no doubt that Orval is the best beer in the world. To celebrate this excellent beer, we will visit the Orval abbey. If you’re fast enough you might have the chance to drink a “green Orval”. Ride out is at 02:00 PM so make sure you have lights and a reflective vest.
The parcours will be ridden clockwise (in 2019 it was counter-clockwise) and some sections have been changed.
We strongly advise registering beforehand on mybrevet.cc. Your brevet card will be available for pickup from 13:00 at the start.
Show up and ride is still possible, please make sure to bring a filled-out registration form and exact change. Payment via Payconiq is also possible. Registration at De Vetten Os opens at 13:00.
GPX Route & directions
Final update: 02.05.2023
At Leuven Randonneurs we consciously choose to go off the beaten track. This means that we make as much use as possible of the B roads. In the southern part of the country, these are roads that can be of poor quality (route dégradée). Think of potholes in the road, small stretches of unpaved road, cobblestones, etc. We are convinced that these roads are an added value to the route and the experience. We assume that every randonneur can assess the danger and adapt his or her riding style. We explore every ride with a bike with a minimum tire width of 23mm.
